Post-Graduate course

For a Post-Graduate course, I’d do a Master in Forest and Nature Conservation with a specialization in Ecology. If I had the chance, I’d study abroad, especially in Netherlands because it’s a country that has been doing amazing projects about protecting and conservation of its nature and animals, and it would be a part-time course to work while I study. But if I couldn’t study abroad, I’d do a Master in Wild Areas and Nature Conservation at University of Chile.
I’d do one of these courses because it’d allow me to work in state and private forestry and nature conservation services, and environmental assessment agencies. I think that the high development in forestry and farming, mining and industrial has demonstrated that there’s a lack of specialists in wild areas, nature conservation and ecosystemic services since the corporations has been in trouble with the communities for extracting resources and ignoring them, while it should be the very opposite, because they use the resources as a non-industrial production and are affected by the companies.
On the other side, we must approach a modern and specialized ways to treat the conservation and preservation of nature ecosystems to the touristic activity, because our country has the most beautiful landscapes that attracts a lot of tourist and scientific studies, and that’s the principal reason to not intervene ecosystems.
